ITALIAN TECHNOLOGY CENTER (ITC) is a business network agreement among a group of Italian capital goods manufacturing companies. This innovative project is promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE (the Italian machine tools, robots and automation manufacturers’ Association), AMAPLAST (the Italian plastics and rubber machinery and moulds manufacturers’ Association) and ACIMGA (the Italian manufacturers’ association of machinery for the graphic, converting and paper industry). The ITC network facilitates a flexible collaboration among leading Italian machinery manufacturers in order to share resources and knowledge with the common aim of strengthening their presence in the Indian market.
The main objectives of ITC are: promoting Italian technology through the ITC trademark, as well as the brands of ITC companies; supporting the internationalization of Italian member companies within India by establishing a constant market presence; carrying out initiatives aimed at increasing the visibility of ITC companies, like seminars and workshops, B2B meetings and other strategic activities.
In order to have a more effective and structured monitoring of the Indian market, in 2013 ITC opened its office in Pune (India) where a team of selected engineers, with strong background in the machine tools, plastic and paper machinery sectors, is available to support the ITC member companies. The ITC office not only helps in their “entry strategy” in India but also facilitates the contacts with Italian companies to Indian end users, institutions, agents and so on.
In fact, Indian companies consider ITC as their first point of reference in India and get an immediate answer/feedback to their queries from the respective Italian companies. Fresh enquiries and technical solutions are also discussed and properly followed-up with the member companies.
